Our Engineering Department utilizes SolidWorks 3D CAD software. With its solid modeling features we are able to provide design integrity while optimizing efficiency and manufacturability. Thorough analysis of materials and component parts assures that customers’ specifications are met exactly.

New designs are validated through automated cycle testing, capable of testing pressures up to 5000 psi, and cycle rates as high as 2 Hz. 
Our Manufacturing Department focuses on providing the highest quality hydraulic products, using cutting-edge technology in both our equipment and our methods. Emphasis on fluid power manifolds and related components have allowed us to build a manufacturing environment that can respond quickly to our customers’ changing needs.
Although aluminum and ductile iron manifolds currently make up the largest share of our machined product by volume, we manufacture manifolds and components in all the common materials: aluminum, brass, carbon steel, ductile iron, stainless steel, and synthetics. This allows us to meet most applications with pressures ranging up to 10,000 PSI.
Our manufacturing flexibility allows us to run lot sizes from five to fifteen thousand and beyond. Our relatively small environment encourages close interaction between our engineering and manufacturing teams, especially at the prototype stage. This leads to accurate product and process development with the shortest lead times possible.
Our production equipment includes modern palletized CNC Machining Centers.  We also maintain two Mazak HCN-5000 and four Mazak PHF/FH-4800 horizontal flexible manufacturing systems (FMS).  We also have two stand alone Makino A61 and Makino NX horizontal machining centers, Mazak and Doosan turning centers, and a Tsugami Swiss.  Our flexible manufacturing systems are extremely fast and accurate.  They employ robotic automation, advanced work holding, large tool capacity, and electronic monitoring systems that allow 24-hour production and “lights out” manufacturing.

We also operate several additional machines, both manual and CNC, including a non-ferrous automatic cold saw, prototyping/tool room machines, and various drilling, milling, and honing equipment.
Programming of machining centers is done with the most sophisticated methods available. Our PartMaker and Virtual Gibbs CAM programming systems are both fast and accurate, providing the ability to view the machining process on the computer before making a single chip. This, along with the use of macro variable programming with a parametric structure, allows us to be very flexible with lot sizes while maintaining optimum efficiencies.
JEM Technical has adopted Cellular assembly areas in our facility, organized around LEAN principles so that all products are assembled with quality and flexibility in mind. Cellular assembly areas that utilize LEAN principles ensure that JEM Technical’s products are assembled to the highest level of quality and flexibility, keeping costs competitive. Limited quantity builds and highly visual assembly processes ensure that all products, from one order to the next, maintain consistent levels of quality and performance.
Final Inspection and Packaging: Our final cleaning, deburring, and inspection process requires an acute attention to detail. Product finishes and final testing complete the order to the full satisfaction of our customers.
